Bar&Billet Systems

LOCIS is a compact and modular ultrasonic testing system developed for non-destructive testing of bar and billet materials. Its small size allows for easy integration into existing production lines or quick installation as a replacement for older systems. The system consists of a mechanical unit, water circulation system, control unit, software infrastructure, and phased array ultrasonic probes.

Thanks to the rotating water column and fixed probes, square, hexagonal, and round cross-section materials can be tested with minimal adjustment in the 8–160 mm diameter range. LOCIS detects internal defects and near-surface defects with high precision.

It fully complies with NADCAP, ISO 18563, and AMS STD 2154 Class AA & AAA standards applicable to the automotive and aerospace industries. Its high scanning speed and automated reporting features accelerate quality control processes.
